Brief Role Description

Certified Yoga Professionals (Yoga Protocol Instructor) can teach basics of Yoga / common Yoga protocol developed by the Ministry of AYUSH for International Day of Yoga for prevention of diseases and promotion of health. They can conduct Yoga practice / classes in parks, societies, RWA etc.

There is no eligibility criteria for this certification. It is open for all candidates. To appear in this certification, it is suggested/ desired that the candidate should have passed 10th standard / secondary school certificate from a recognized board or equivalent.

MINIMUM AGE: No age limit

Personal Attributes

The job requires individual to have good communication skills,time management skills and ability to understand the body language of the trainees. The job requires individual to possess key qualities such as self-discipline, confidence, maturity, patience, compassion, active listening, time management, empathetic, language proficiency.

 Applied Yoga

  • The candidate has to secure 70% marks in each theory and practical separately to qualify/pass the assessment test. However maximum 5% of grace marks will be given either in theory or practical who can qualify/pass the exam. Percentage of grace marks will be calculated on total marks in each of the theory and practical separately. In case marks are in decimal figure, it shall be rounded off to a higher number.
  • If a  candidate is absent in either theory exam or practical/skill test will be considered as failed.
  • If a candidate is present in theory exam but is unable to attend or does not appear in practical/skill test, he/she has to inform the concerned institution for appearing in the practical / skill test in the next scheduled date & time well in advance with valid reason / unavoidable circumstances. If the candidate is unable to do so he/she will be considered as failed. The assessing institution may consider the request of the candidate in exceptional cases on merit basis.
  • If the candidate secures qualifying marks in a practical test but fails in theory, he/she can reappear in theory exam only once within 3 month from the declaration of result. The candidate shall have to deposit the prescribed exam/assessment fee of the institution for appearing in the theory exam.
  • If the candidate secures qualifying marks in theory but fails in practical, he/she will be considered to fail. The candidate shall apply for certification as a fresh candidate. In such conditions, the candidate shall pay full assessment fee as decided by the concerned institution. They do not have to pay enrollment fee for the particular types of certification. His/her unique enrolment no. shall be valid for life time.

RE-CHECKING OF MARKS

  • If the candidate is not satisfied with the result, he/she can request for re-checking of theory answer sheet (OMR) within 15 days from the date of declaration of result from his/her dashboard. 
  • Re-checking is limited to the calculation of marks.
  • If the candidate is still not satisfied, he/she can request for re-checking of the answer sheet in his / her presence. The concerned agency shall arrange the OMR sheet and question paper in the presence of the examiner on receipt of the prescribed fee.
  • The candidate shall pay the prescribed re-checking fee to the concerned institution for rechecking. Requests for re-checking of the answer sheet will be considered after receiving the requisite fee.
  • In no case, the candidate is allowed to take the question papers/ OMR sheet or its copy along with him/her.
  • PrCB will response within 30 days from the date of request for re-checking.

ISSUING CERTIFICATE

Validity of Certificate

All the certifications are valid for 5 Years. Validity  of  the  certificate  will  be  counted  from  the  date  of declaration of result.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Application Form Filling:

  • All Yoga aspirant/professionals who wish to get YCB certificate need to fill application form   online along with requisite information and fee at URL
  • The  applicant  shall,  along  with  the  application,  declare  any  pending  judicial proceedings relating to his conduct and any pending proceedings by any regulatory body. The applicant shall also declare any instances of discomfort /disability caused to any of his/her students in the past.  Application from such an applicant shall not be entertained.
  • Candidate shall declare if he/she has been an applicant or certified under this scheme by any other PrCB and YCB’s recognized Institutions. He/she shall provide details of status of application/certification and period of certification. The PrCB/Institutions may verify the information by contacting the concerned Institutions.

2. Fee for enrolment and assessment of Yoga Professionals:

  • Candidate has to pay enrollment fee and Exam Fee to appear in the Yoga Exam
  • Enrolment fee is onetime fee for the applied certification and is valid for life time for that certification. If he/she wishes to appear for other type of certification, they have to pay enrolment fee of that certification.
  • If the candidate fails and wishes to reappear in the same examination with the same or other institution/PrCB, he/she does not have to pay enrolment fee.
  • Enrolment and Exam fee once paid shall not be refunded in any case/circumstances.
  • If at any exam centre location, total count of enrolled applicants those who have paid the fees falls below 30, then the PrCB reserves the right to cancel that location and conduct the exam at other location or on some other date. The candidate will be intimated about the same and the candidate can either accept the request for change of location / date. 
  • The assessment/Exam fee shall not be refunded once admit card is issued.

3.  Enrollment Number:

  • The applicant shall follow the application process and other rules and regulations while enrolling for any types of YCB certification and processing the application.
  • On successful enrolment, the candidate will be provided a unique enrolment number which will be valid for life time and will be reference for any future requirement.
  • Acceptance of application is subject to scrutiny of the documents submitted along with the application form. We shall complete the scrutiny process within 7 working days. In case of any gap/ discrepancy, the same shall be intimated to the candidate through mail/ message.

 

4.  Rejection of application: The application can be cancelled under following circumstances

  • If the applicant does not provide the required information within 7 working days from the date of intimation to the applicant;
  • The  application  shall  be  rejected,  if  it  is  found  that  the  information  provided  is incorrect.
  • The  applicant,  whose  certificate  was  cancelled  /  application  rejected  because  of violation of terms & conditions and/or malpractice during exam shall not be eligible to apply.

5Cancellation / suspension / debarment from certification of YCB Yoga Professional

  • If the candidate is found engaged in malpractice in the examination, his/her application shall be rejected.
  • If the given information in the application form is found incorrect at any point of time.
  • The  candidate  shall  be  debarred  /suspended  from  appearing  in  the  certification examination of Yoga Professionals for 3 years.
  • If any evidence of misconduct is observed during examination the candidate will not be allowed to appear for 3 years in any of the assessment for certification for Yoga Professionals conducted under YCB.

6. Appearing in the Offline Assessment/Examination

  • The candidate shall have to appear for theory and practical exam at the allocated exam centre well before the scheduled time preferably one hour before.
  • The candidate shall not be allowed if he/she reached the centre after 15 minutes from the scheduled time.
  • Requests for change of location/ date by the candidate after issuance of admit card will generally not be considered. In exceptional cases, PrCB may consider the request on merit basis and the PrCB will exercise discretion in such cases.
  • The candidate will be issued admit cards to the candidate at least one week in advance.
  • The candidate can download the admit card from his/ her login ID.
  • If the candidate does not receive admit card one week before, he/she has to contact the PrCB.
  • The candidate shall carry admit card and valid Government issued Photo ID card in original like Aadhaar / PAN Card / Voter ID Card / Driving License / Passport,  pen, etc to appear in the exam.

7. APPEAR IN ONLINE EXAM

  • Following is required for Exam:
    • Computer / Laptop with Battery Backup and attached Mic & Web-Camera
    • Uninterrupted Internet connectivity with 1 MBPS speed
    • Separate Cabin / Room with sufficient light
    • Yoga Mat placed 5 feet from the Laptop / Computer in Horizontal position for Practical Exam
  • Candidate receives an email on registered email-id with date and time slot to appear in Theory and Practical exam and URL to start the exam.
  • Both candidate and computer screen are monitored and all activities off and on screen are recorded. Any suspicious activity shall have an adverse impact on result.
  • In case of any instruction from proctor, candidates should follow the same and ensure only fair practice during the entire exam. All activities during the exam are recorded.
  • Any violation of instructions can be marked as “Red Flagged” which means that the exam can be termed as invalid.
  • Candidate is not provided with any breaks during the exam. 
  • A candidate must carry a government issued valid photo ID card in original like Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Voter ID Card / Driving License / Passport / Social Card etc.
  • Before starting the exam, close all other browsers, chat windows, screen-saver etc.
  • Make sure there is sufficient light on your face.
  • Should be facing the webcam and looking into the computer screen only during the entire duration of the exam.
  • Do not press the ‘F5’ key during the entire exam.
  • After the exam has started, toggling between the windows is not allowed for any reason. Switching windows for any reason will terminate the exam.
  • Candidate face should not be covered/ blocked by any object like hands, cap, goggles etc. else the same shall be recorded as a red flag for ‘face not visible’.
  • Do not move away from the test window at any point of time as the same shall also be recorded as a ‘red flag’.
  • Do not involve any other person for any support or help during the exam.
  • A candidate is not allowed to use mobile phones, calculators or other devices during the exam.
  • Candidate is not allowed to speak out the questions.

8. Result Declaration

  • Result of the exam shall be declared within 30 days from conduct of exam.
  • Candidate can view the result in his dashboard. The candidate can view and download his/ her result.

9. COMMUNICATION / ENQUIRY PROCESS

  • Candidates can communicate with the PrCB for all types of queries related to certification, examination, admit card, result declaration, certificate etc.
